The BraidFlow

Safety & Disclaimers

Last updated: June 19, 2026

BraidFlow is a technology platform that helps braiding salon owners manage their business operations. This page outlines important safety information, platform limitations, and disclaimers all users should understand before using our Service.

1. Platform Role

BraidFlow is a software platform, not a salon, beauty service provider, or licensed professional entity. We do not employ stylists, perform hair services, or supervise any in-person appointment. All services are provided directly by the independent salon owners who use our platform. BraidFlow acts solely as a technology intermediary.

2. No Professional Advice

Nothing on the BraidFlow platform constitutes professional beauty, medical, dermatological, or health advice. Information presented about hair services, durations, or products is provided by individual salon owners for informational and scheduling purposes only. If you have concerns about your hair, scalp, or skin health, consult a licensed dermatologist or medical professional.

3. Appointment Accuracy

Service durations, pricing, and availability displayed on salon booking pages are set by individual salon owners and may not always reflect real-time availability. BraidFlow does not guarantee that displayed times, prices, or stylist availability are current or accurate. Always confirm appointment details directly with your salon.

4. Payment Safety

All payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment processor. BraidFlow does not store full credit card numbers or sensitive payment data. Stripe's security practices and terms apply to all transactions. For questions about a charge, contact your salon owner directly or reach us at legal@thebraidflow.com.

5. Deposit and Refund Risks

Deposits collected through the platform are held and disbursed in accordance with policies set by individual salon owners. BraidFlow does not control salon refund policies and cannot guarantee refunds in the event of a salon cancellation, dispute, or closure. We encourage clients to review a salon's cancellation policy before booking.

6. SMS Communications Safety

Appointment reminders and notifications are sent via SMS through Twilio. Message delivery is not guaranteed and may be affected by carrier conditions, network outages, or incorrect phone numbers. Do not rely solely on SMS reminders to remember your appointment. Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan.

7. Data Accuracy

Salon owners are responsible for the accuracy of the information they enter into the platform, including service descriptions, stylist profiles, hours of operation, and contact information. BraidFlow does not independently verify salon-provided information and makes no representations about its accuracy or completeness.

8. Third-Party Links and Services

The platform may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services. BraidFlow is not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices of any third-party site or service. Accessing third-party services is at your own risk.

9. AI-Generated Content

Some content on the BraidFlow blog and platform may be generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence tools. While we review AI-generated content for accuracy, BraidFlow does not guarantee that all AI-assisted content is error-free, current, or applicable to your specific situation. AI-generated content is for informational purposes only.

10. Availability Disclaimer

The BraidFlow platform is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, third-party outages, or technical failures may result in temporary unavailability. BraidFlow is not liable for losses arising from platform downtime.

11. Limitation on Liability for Safety Incidents

Any safety incidents, injuries, property damage, or disputes arising from in-person salon appointments are the sole responsibility of the salon owner and the involved parties. BraidFlow is not a party to the service relationship between salon owners and their clients and accepts no liability for incidents that occur during or in connection with in-person appointments.

12. Reporting Safety Concerns

If you experience or witness unsafe practices, fraudulent activity, or platform abuse, please report it to us immediately at legal@thebraidflow.com. We take all reports seriously and will investigate appropriately.

13. Changes to This Page

We may update this Safety & Disclaimers page as the platform evolves. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated content.
